Every year we organize the Issue Conference in January, where we focus on a social topic. The Issue Congress, which will be held on January 25 in the afternoon at De Balie in Amsterdam, will be about 'Getting opportunities and taking responsibility'.

It builds on the theme of Equality of Opportunity. We want to look at this from the perspective of people who have been given or taken opportunities. These opportunities have given them influence and power to change things. This privileged position can be used in two ways; for their own gain or for the society to which they partly owe their success. They ensure that others also get opportunities and/or that society improves. That the organization they work for has a right to exist and takes their own responsibility. Whether those who are committed to an issue have been festering for too long and need to be resolved.
