Like other years, we organize our Issuereading in January, where we ask someone to give an introduction about social developments that influence our profession. Since Corona, we have chosen to hold an online lecture in January where we will also announce the winner of the Issue Award.
Issue lecture 2023: with Josse de Voogd 'About outsiders and established people' on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 3:00 PM
After Madeleijn van den Nieuwenhuizen (2021) and David van Reybrouck (2022), this year Josse de Voogd shares his vision with us during the lecture called 'About outsiders and established people.' De Voogd is a publicist and researcher at the intersection of space, politics and society. He publishes, among other things, on the geography of voting behavior and on increasing differences in society. At the end of 2021, he published the 'Atlas of Afgehaakt Nederland' together with René Cuperus, about how social differences between people are reflected in the 'electoral map' of the Netherlands. He expects to publish his next book in the summer of 2023, in which he can explain the election results maps based on the location where someone lives.
The Issue Lecture 2023 is held on Tuesday January 24 from 15.00 until appearance 17.00 o'clock. After Josse de Voogd's lecture The annual Issue Award, a prize for a person or organization that has best succeeded in putting an issue on the map, is also presented. Present? Mail to !
