Admix | National Pancake Day 2025

The 18th edition of National Pancake Day was one full of records. Never before did so many children bake so many pancakes (almost 200,000!) for so many elderly people! Children baked pancakes en masse for elderly people from the neighborhood, such as grandfathers, grandmothers and residents of care institutions. And what attention: from early in the morning to the Jeugdjournaal, media reported en masse about this cheerful day.

Primary school Het Palet went with presenter Tim Senders to senior complex De Kastanjehof in Amstelveen, where they flipped their pancakes into the air together with the elderly. It was not only a tasty moment, but also an opportunity for nice conversations between young and old!

Issuemakers was responsible for the PR strategy and media approach surrounding this annual event. New figures in the form of the National Pancake Survey, creator Tim Senders and the many human interest stories played an important role in this.

It worked closely with the agencies Admix and team5pm, research agency MarktEffect on behalf of the initiators Koopmans, Tefal and Blue Band.
