Elsevier | 3D model
To gain PR attention, both in online and offline media, at Issuemakers we always first look for the so-called “news hook”. When a client comes to us with the aim of gaining media attention for a press release, we try to connect their message as much as possible with current events.
This was also the case with a PR assignment that we carried out for our client Elsevier. In January 2022, they developed the first 3D model of the female body, which would be used to train healthcare staff and doctors. This innovation was linked to the current issue of the scientific knowledge gap of the human body between men and women and all the media attention in the preceding months.
By pitching this development to journalists who write specifically about this subject, we achieved success: Three hits, including LINDA.nl, which reaches more than 5 million people every month.
