Ministry of Foreign Affairs | Media trend analysis

In 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was regularly in the spotlight, both from the public and the media. The war in Ukraine and the role of the Netherlands in it were important reasons for this. In addition, the ministry and its administrators were also extensively discussed in other policy areas. Between January 10, 2022 and December 31, 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was the second most discussed ministry compared to other ministries, after the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.  

To gain a better insight into the reporting about the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the policy and the ministers, we carried out a media analysis on behalf of the Communications Directorate. The aim is to gain a better insight into the relevant themes and trends that are important for the communication strategy.
