The past week was a busy week full of riots and fierce reactions from political parties: After almost a year of corona news, it is difficult to separate the political discussion from the pandemic. As a result, this was once again the most important topic. For example, it was announced this week that there has been one for three quarters of a year leak in the GGD system, which has systematically stolen personal data from tested people. The political debate on this will take place in plenary next Wednesday (03/02) at 11 am in the House of Representatives.
In addition, political profiling came into play again when the minister announced that primary schools would reopen Hoekstra announced the news earlier than minister Slob. It was also announced this week that the House of Representatives will move next summer. The former Ministry of Foreign Affairs, B67, will become the new home of the House of Representatives. The House of Representatives will be here for approximately 5.5 years stay. The Senate also voted in favor of the corrective binding referendum. Since this means a constitutional amendment, it must be voted on again in the House of Representatives after the elections. Then two-thirds of the MPs must again adopt the proposal. The question is whether that majority will be achieved.
In addition to the move, the political parties submitted their final electoral lists yesterday (01/02). These lists will be announced on Wednesday (03/02).

Election programs
Below are brief summaries of the election manifestos of the political parties. We have chosen to feature approximately three parties in each newsletter, so that the information density can be prevented from being too high and the most important parties are still discussed before the elections take place. This newsletter discusses GroenLinks, SP and PvdA.
GREENLINKS
GroenLinks In their election manifesto, they talk about the new realism, the realization that a system change is necessary and that adhering to the way our economy and society are organized will not take us any further. As might be expected, the climate is central to GroenLinks. The party is committed to tightening the Climate Act so that CO2 emissions are reduced by 60 percent by 2030, with extra attention to reducing emissions in the aviation sector and agriculture.
In addition, GroenLinks wants to create one million new homes by 2030, abolish market forces in the rental sector, set a rental ceiling for 90 percent of rental homes and make social housing more accessible. The party wants to see the minimum wage rise by 20 percent and people who are too earn little to make ends meet, they want to provide an income supplement on top of their income, through a tax reduction. The party is also committed to major investments in healthcare, education and the police. The party also wants market forces in healthcare to be abolished and health insurers to become public healthcare fundsand to
PVDA
The PvdA is committed to reducing inequality in the Netherlands. To achieve this, the party wants to increase the minimum wage, just like the state pension and social assistance. The health insurance premium must be reduced and the deductible abolished. In addition, the party wants the basic grant for students to be restored, childcare to be free, the landlord levy to be abolished and a job guarantee for everyone who loses their job due to the corona crisis.
To further promote equality, the party also wants the right to equal pay for men and women to be laid down in law. The salary of healthcare workers will also be increased and VAT on fruit and vegetables will be abolished. The party is also committed to a Minister for Housing, who will build 100,000 affordable homes every year. The party wants to realize these plans by increasing taxes for millionaires and multinationals, making environmentally polluting companies pay more taxes, and companies such as Google and Facebook digitaltax and introduce a new top rate for people who earn more than 150,000 euros per year.
