Issue intelligence

Since my student days I have been interested in analyzing the public debate and its influence on (political) decision-making. Since 2017 I have been using these interests at Issuemakers. There I am involved in interpreting and analyzing the news, public opinion and politics. The approach is always: how do we arrive at a strategy that leads to social impact?

My interest in public debate and social issues was sparked by studying public administration at Leiden University and political science at the University of Amsterdam. I graduated there on the subjects of 'advocacy' and 'integral governance'.

After graduating, I worked as a policy officer at student union JOB, where he got to know the education field well. At JOB, he represented the interests of 500,000 vocational students. Both towards the media, the government, and politics.

As an Issuemaker I work for various clients. Some clients I am proud of: DreamersNL, the movement for and by undocumented youth, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment and Koffie & Thee Nederland.
